”Sahulat On The Go’ Bazaars in Lahore Soon

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif today to gave in-principle approval for the establishment of Punjab’s first-ever ‘Sahulat On The Go’ bazaars, a pilot project aimed at providing essential items at roadside locations across Lahore.

In a special meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, a detailed briefing was given regarding the project. The chief minister directed authorities to prepare a plan for setting up the bazaars at 14 specific locations in Lahore.

The pilot project will be completed within a four-month timeframe. Under the initiative, 816 stalls will be established along public land adjacent to roads.

The designated locations for these bazaars include Multan Road, Hanjarwal, Manga Mandi, Raiwind, G-1 Market, Faisal Town, Moon Market, and Bedian Road. Additional locations include E-Millat Road, Gulshan Ravi, Shahdara, Shadman, and Singhpura.

The stalls will follow a uniform design and will provide food items and essential commodities. Cleanliness and security arrangements will be part of the setup at each site.

During the meeting, consensus was reached on extending the ‘Sahulat On The Go’ project to every tehsil of Punjab after the pilot phase in Lahore.

Chairman of the Punjab Model Bazaar Management Company, Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, presented a report on existing model bazaars. The chief minister expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made in model bazaars during the month of Ramazan.
