LAHORE: Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi says Tuesday that the rural and urban cultures present the true picture of Punjab.

The culture of Punjab was promoted by great Sufi poets such as Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Khawaja Ghulam Farid, Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah and Mian Muhammad Bakhsh,” he said in his message on the Punjab Culture Day.

Punjab, the land of five rivers, was rich in beautiful and fascinating culture, he said. The CM said that the culture of Punjab was diverse and unique in the world. “Every colour of the culture of Punjab province is different. The charming culture of Punjab is the heart of the culture of Pakistan,” he pointed out.

“Hard work, love and respect are the main pillars of the culture of Punjab. The soil of Punjab produced famous poets, intellectuals, writers and artists,” he added.

“Agriculture is an important part of the economic culture of Punjab. The Sufi culture of Punjab is characterized by sweetness, peace and mutual respect,” he stated.

“The purpose of celebrating Punjab Culture Day is to spread the message of love. I congratulate every resident of Punjab province on culture day,” he said.
