QUETTA: Farah Azeem Shah, the spokesperson for provincial government, said Thursday that Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was pursuing education friendly policies, adding that approval for releasing funds amounting to Rs500 million for publication of syllabus-books from primary to college level and its free of cost distribution during the fiscal year 2023 had been granted despite meagre resources and financial constraints.

In a statement, she said that in view of the educational priorities in the province, practical measures were being adopted. She stated that issuing permanent orders in respect of 1493 teachers serving under Global Partnership for Education (GPE) was the vivid example in that regard.

Shah said problems of the universities had been addressed on priority basis, adding that in order to bring improvement in the educational sector, laptops had been distributed so as to promote research culture in the province.

Shah said that education plays a significant role for reformation and uplifting any society, adding that keeping in view the significance and importance of education, the incumbent provincial government would keep taking steps to ensure providing facilities to the teachers and students at any cost.
