Resolution Submitted Against Amendments to SBCA Act in Sindh PA

Opposition leader in Sindh, Ali Khurshidi, along with Najm Mirza and Dr. Fauzia Hameed, submitted a resolution in the Sindh Assembly against the amendments to the Sindh Building Control Authority Act.

In a statement issued by the Office of the Opposition Leader here today, Ali Khurshidi stated that the plan to convert residential areas into commercial zones is a conspiracy to destroy urban life.

He accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government of sacrificing Karachi’s master plan for the interests of influential individuals.

Ali Khurshidi said that the amendments to the Sindh Building Control Authority are part of the builder mafia’s agenda rather than in the public interest.

He further added that efforts are being made to turn Karachi into a concrete jungle.

Accusing the government of violating court orders, Ali Khurshidi said that the Sindh government has made a mockery of the rule of law.

He stated that they will thwart the conspiracy to turn Karachi into a heap of commercial waste.

Ali Khurshidi expressed that they will expose those who are robbing the public of their residential rights.

He questioned, when the rulers themselves become lawbreakers, where should the public go? This is the question present in the mind of every resident of Karachi today.
