Relief goods worth Rs250m distributed among Balochistan flood affectees

QUETTA: Abdul Majeed Sarbazi, Chairman, Al-Khidmat Foundation, has said that relief gears amounting to Rs250 million have been distributed amongst the flood affectees of Balochistan province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Friday, he said 177 residential homes in different flood affected areas of the province had been constructed for flood affectees apart from setting up a Al-Khidmat Hospital.

Announcing to extend pecuniary assistance to the orphans of lawyers and police officers and officials who had embraced martyrdom in terrorist attacks, he said that Al-Khidmat Foundation would also distribute wheel chairs amongst the police personnel disabled in terrorist related incidents. He said that Al-Khidmat Foundation had also distributed food bags amongst flood affectees of district Quetta.

Free medical camp

A total of 303 patients, including 129 male, 43 women and 131 children, were diagnosed in a free medical camp arranged under the auspices of Frontier Corps (North) in Khost area of district Harnai in Balochistan province on Friday. According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for FC (North), one day free medical camp was arranged by Frontier Corps (North) in Khost area of Harnai. 303 patients, including 129 male, 43 women and 131 children, were diagnosed by the doctors in the medical camp. Sugar, blood pressure, malaria and other tests were conducted in the free medical camp besides providing free of cost medicines to the patients.
