Two pregnant women from a village near Thatta died in an ambulance before reaching the hospital, according to a report on Monday.
Heavy rainfall has damaged the roads, delaying the ambulance’s arrival and preventing the women from receiving timely medical assistance.
The women reportedly went into labor and their families called for an ambulance, but poor road conditions and rain caused significant delays. Both women died on the way to the hospital, and their unborn children did not survive.
The incident sparked grief and outrage in the village, with family members claiming that timely medical intervention could have saved the women and their babies. The tragedy has raised concerns about the Sindh government’s claims of providing adequate healthcare services, particularly for residents in remote areas.
