Rain with thunderstorm expected in parts of Sindh and Balochistan

Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast (PMD) on Monday that monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating central and southern parts of the country and likely to enter upper parts from today evening and night.

Tuesday weather: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in northeast and south Balochistan, lower Sindh, south and northeast Punjab, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pothohar region during evening and night.

Wednesday weather: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in south Balochistan, upper Sindh, south and northeast Punjab, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pothohar region during evening and night. Isolated heavyfall is also likely in southeastern Balochistan during the period.

Past 24 Hour Weather: Rain-wind/thundershower occurred in south Punjab, northeast Balochistan and coastal areas of Sindh.

Rainfall (mm): Punjab: Bahawalpur (City 88, Airport 60), Multan (City 26, Airport 12), Dera Ghazi Khan 03, Balochistan: Kalat 06, Barkhan 02, Sindh: Thatta, Karachi (MOS) and Mithi 01.

Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Nokkundi 47, Dalbandin 45, Sibbi and Chilas 43.
