Rain likely in parts of Sindh, KP, Punjab, Kashmir

Pakistan Meteorological Department informed on Wednesday that a low pressure area lies in southeast Sindh at lower tropospheric level while a westerly wave is also present in upper parts.

Wednesday: mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, partly cloudy weather with rain or thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in southeast Sindh, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

Thursday: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.

Past 24 Hours Weather: Hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain or thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Islamabad, northeast Balochistan and Kashmir. Rainfall (mm): Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Takht Bai 11, Kakul 09, Saidu Sharif 03, Malam Jabba, Pattan 02, Dir (lower), Kalam 01, Punjab: Hafizabad 09, Narowal 06, Mandi Bahauddin 05, Islamabad (City), Lahore (City) 02, Balochistan: Barkhan 09, Kashmir: Kotli 02.

Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Turbat 43 and Sibbi 42.
