Rain expected in south-eastern Sindh, other parts of Pakistan

Pakistan Meteorologica Department said on Thursday that monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating upper and central parts of the country while a westerly wave is present over upper parts and likely to affect central and upper parts from today (evening/night).

Thursday weather: Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorm-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Potohar region and northeast Punjab during evening-night. However, Rain-windstorm-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Central-Southern Punjab, Southeastern-Lower Sindh and Northeastern Balochistan during afternoon.

Friday weather: Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Potohar region, Islamabad, Punjab, Southeast/Upper Sindh and Northeast Balochistan.

Past 24 Hourd Weather: Hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-wind-thundershower occurred at isolated places in Punjab, Southeast/Lower Sindh, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Kashmir.

Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Turbat 48, Nokkundi, Dalbandin and Sibbi 46.
