Quetta traders demand arrest of showroom attackers

QUETTA: Abdul Raheem Kakar, President, Anjuman-e-Tajiran Balochistan and Naseebulah Achakzai, Proprietor, Toyota Company Showroom, Airport Road, Quetta Wednesday called on the authorities to arrest the alleged accused involved in the firing incident at a showroom of Toyota Company, Airport Road; otherwise, A protest sit-in and shutter down strikes would be observed across the province against the incident.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, they said that firing incident at a showroom situated at Airport Road, Quetta had caused damages worth millions of rupees, adding that the said unpleasant incident tarnished not only the image of Balochistan but also of the country.

Demanding of the authorities to end Kalashnikove culture for good, they said that investors were reluctant to invest in the province, particularly in Quetta, owing to the existence of Kalashnikove culture in Quetta. They said that government was spending millions of rupees to maintain law and order situation, but firing incident at a showroom of Toyota Company at Airport Road exposed the reality of law and order situation maintained by the authorities.

They called on the authorities to arrest the alleged accused involved in the firing incident at a showroom of Toyota Company, Airport Road otherwise protest sit-in and shutter down strikes would be observed across the province against the incident. On the occasion, leaders of Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Balochistan Hazrat Ali Achakzai, Mir Yasin Mengal and others were also present.
