Quetta police on Friday claimed to have arrested nephew of MPA Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri, the provincial leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, on the charge of torturing traffic police constable in Sariab Road area of the provincial capital.
Following the direction of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta, Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya, the Sariab police arrested Danish Marri.
It is worth mentioning that the previous day a video went viral on social media showing Mir Danish Lehri beating a traffic constable at Sariab Road area of Quetta. Taking notice of the incident, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta, Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya directed the concerned authorities to apprehend the person involved in torturing traffic police constable.
In compliance, large contingent of police station Sariab arrested Danish Lehri after besieging Lehri house in new Ada Satellite Town Quetta. Danish Lehri was shifted to Police Station Sariab and FIR was lodged against him. Further investigation was underway.
