Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the importance of equipping the young generation with quality knowledge and enhancing their productive capacity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. He expressed these views during his visit to the National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister underscored the need to move beyond a culture of rote and copy-and-paste learning. He advocated for promoting creativity and critical thinking among students as essential components of education. Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that Pakistan's progress is heavily reliant on quality education and the preparation of highly capable teachers.
During his visit, Ahsan Iqbal was briefed on the institute's various programmes, teacher training activities, and ongoing projects. He reiterated the significance of these initiatives in fostering an educational environment that supports the nation's development goals.
