Lahore (September 15, Monday): On the instructions of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali, Punjab University has dispatched the first consignment of relief goods to the flood-affected areas of Alipur and Saidpur. This consignment includes aid provided by the university’s faculty, staff, and students.
Professor Ali emphasized the university’s history of assisting in national emergencies, highlighting the devastating impact of the recent floods on agriculture and livestock. He stressed the need for collective action during this challenging time and commended the national response to the disaster.
The Vice Chancellor announced that Punjab University faculty and staff will donate one day’s salary for relief efforts. He also announced a plan to provide mental health services for flood-affected individuals.
