Punjab School Education Minister Sikandar Hayat on Wednesday announced the recruitment of up to 30,000 teachers in government schools across the province during the summer vacations.
Minister Hayat stated that the recruitment process will be conducted in a phased manner to address the current shortage of teachers. “Depending on the need, we plan to hire between 20,000 to 30,000 teachers during the summer holidays,” he said.
The provincial education minister emphasized the importance of completing the recruitment process swiftly. “We are striving to finalize the hiring during the summer vacations to ensure that schools are adequately staffed for the new academic year,” Minister Hayat added.
He also mentioned that any remaining shortage of teachers will be managed through a rationalization process. This initiative is expected to provide significant employment opportunities and enhance the quality of education in Punjab’s government schools.
