Punjab CM Naqvi sets minimum wage at Rs32,000

LAHORE: Punjab’s caretaker government has fixed the minimum wage for a laborer at Rs32000.

Secretary Labour Asadullah Faiz sent the case to the Cabinet for approval and said that the step was taken on the instructions of CM Mohsin Naqvi, according to CM office information on Thursday. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Bahawalpur where he took visit to free flour center set up at Government Technical College and reviewed the distribution process.

He also went to Government Abbasia Higher Secondary School Bahawalpur. Besides that, the Punjab CM visited Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur. During his visit, he reviewed the facilities in different wards and inquire about the treatment of the patients admitted in the emergency department of the heart center.
