LAHORE:,,, A court in Lahore Cantonment on Thursday granted the police a two-day physical remand of Sanam Javed Khan, a dedicated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker.
The case was heard by Judicial Duty Magistrate Shabbir Ahmad Joeya. The police’s request for Sanam’s physical remand was aimed at ensuring her appearance in an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
This development came shortly after Sanam’s re-arrest following her release from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on Wednesday. An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore had previously granted her bail in cases related to the May 9 riots.
