QuettaKarachi main highway near Baghbana grid station area of Khuzdar was closed on Saturday by the residents of Khuzdar in protest over unannounced and prolonged power outages, causing long queues of vehicles moving between Quetta and Karachi.

According to reports, power outages in Khuzdar compelled citizens to resort to protest by blocking QuettaKarachi Highway N25 for all kinds of vehicular traffic near Baghbana grid station area of district Khuzdar in Balochistan province.

Talking to PPI, protesters said that unannounced power outages had made the lives of the citizens of Khuzdar miserable besides destroying agriculture of the area, adding that QESCO’s authorities had been requested time and again to take steps for ending prolonged power outages, but no step had been taken to do the needful. QuettaKarachi highway remained blocked till filing this report.
