Protest held against flour shortage and its price hike

LARKANA: On the central call of the Sindh United Party (SUP), a protest rally was held at Jinnah Bagh here on Thursday by its activists against the flour shortage and high inflation.

On that occasion, Dr. Mazhar Mughal, Syed Muzaffar Shah, Sheeba Mughal, and others said that the Sindh government had completely failed so far to provide any relief to the people who had suffered tremendous hardships during the flash flood and heavy rains, and had become homeless and lost almost all valuables. They said that now people were standing in long queues to get a flour bag, but the rulers had snatched food from them by creating artificial shortage which amounts to cruelty.

They said that Sindhi nation was already troubled and worried because of the massive floods, but the rulers were asleep. They demanded immediate end to handmade shortages of wheat and flour or else warned that houses of PPP MPAs and MNAs will be surrounded.
