LARKANA: The Sindh Local Government Department has still not issued notification of 393 Union Council secretaries despite their promotions were approved by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) six months ago, on 31st January 2022.

In this connection All Sindh UC Secretary Ittehad, Sindh, issued a statement here on Sunday requesting for issuance of the notification or else they warned that they will be forced to knock the doors of the court to seek justice. They said that notification was always issued within one month after the promotion, but in this instant case, the local government department secretary and other officials were avoiding constantly for unknown reasons.

They said they had completed all the required formalities, hence, delaying the issuance of the notification shows the malafide intentions of the bosses of the department. They claimed the provincial minister for the Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah had directed the Secretary Najam Shah to issue the notification immediately, but he was using the delaying tactics. They demanded issuance of the notification without further loss of time.
