ISLAMABAD:,,, The process of filing of nomination papers for the next general elections will conclude tomorrow (Sunday).

The Election Commission of Pakistan, on demand of the political parties and to facilitate the candidates, on Friday extended the date for filing of nomination papers for the next general elections till tomorrow (Sunday).

According to the revised schedule issued by the Election Commission, scrutiny of the nomination papers will be carried out from Monday till December 30.

Appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers can be filed by January 3, which will be decided by January 10.

The Election Commission will publish the revised list of candidates on January 11, while candidates can withdraw their papers by January 12.

Electoral symbols will be allotted on January 13, and polling for general elections will take place on February 8, 2024.
