The team will probe government funds, annual budget allocations and expenditure, contracts and other accounts records.
ACE Deputy Director Ghulam Sarwar Abro told newsmen that they had received several complaints before against the District Council, hence, they conducted a raid and took over a five years record for investigation. He said the probe would be conducted in a transparent manner and on merit so that no injustice is done to anyone. He said whosoever was found involved in the corruption would be arrested and a case would be lodged.
Reacting sharply, PTI Senator Saifullah Abro through his recorded video message said that Sangroo was being subjected to political vendetta to prepare corruption cases against him. He said since last one year, district council bodies had been dissolved but PPP did not remember corruption by Sangroo.
He said he wanted to tell Faryal Talpur to remain prepared for investigation for embezzlement of over Rs100 billion funds. He said PPP had always sucked blood from the people of Larkana adding actions would not be tolerated against those leaving PPP and joining PTI. He said PPP previously made a case against my brother and now they had targeted another man who left it.
