Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme Aids Over 9 Million Citizens

Islamabad:Over nine million citizens are benefiting from the Prime Minister's Fuel Relief Scheme, according to Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.

According to Radio Pakistan, Malik addressed a public gathering in Lahore, emphasizing the government's efforts to shield the populace, especially vulnerable groups, from the economic repercussions of increasing petroleum prices.

Malik highlighted that since the onset of the war, the government has refrained from transferring the full burden of rising costs onto the public, opting to raise petroleum prices only as necessitated by the circumstances.

He also stated the government's commitment to supporting the weaker segments of society during challenging times, assuring that they would not be left to face difficulties alone. Moreover, Malik noted that Pakistan is confronting challenges both externally and internally, including the resurgence of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
