Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, on Tuesday, expressing gratitude for Iran”s concern during the recent conflict with India and its willingness to mediate for peace.
Sharif underscored the importance of resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue in alignment with the aspirations of its people and United Nations Security Council resolutions. He condemned the actions of Israel in Gaza, advocating for an end to what he described as genocidal policies and supporting a twostate solution.
Additionally, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s interest in strengthening trade relations with Iran. He pledged to address the IranPakistan Pipeline project promptly through mutual discussions, aiming to enhance cooperation between the two nations.
