President Dr Arif Alvi has emphasized on importance of artificial intelligence and information technology in businesses.

Addressing Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Technology Awards 2022 in Islamabad on Thursday, he said political leadership of the country needs to take wise and immediate decisions to promote IT sectors as it can play a pivotal role in development and progress of Pakistan.

The President stressed that IT is the only sector which can put our country on the track of progress fast. He urged the business community to provide training to their staff.

He said with the help of IT market for a business person has expanded and its reach has also been stretched.

Dr Arif Alvi said with growing amount of data need for human resource has increased.

Earlier, the President distributed awards among business entrepreneurs in IT sector.
