President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces on successful operation against Fitna alKhawarij in Pishin and Zhob.

In their separate statements on Saturday, they said the fight against terrorism will continue till the complete elimination of the menace of terrorism from the country.

The two leaders said the entire nation stands side by side with the security forces in foiling designs of the country’s foes and eradicating terrorism from Pakistan soil.

According to a statement of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), five Khwarij were apprehended by security forces in an intelligence based operation in Pishin District of Balochistan.

The security forces during the operation, also seized a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including three suicide vests.

The apprehended Khwarij were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians.

In another operation in District Zhob on October 17, during a fire exchange with security forces, two Khwarij were killed. In ensuing sanitization of the area, weapons and ammunition were also recovered in large quantity.
