Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for conducting a successful intelligence-based operation against Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his statement, President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted that the killing of Khawarij terrorists operating under Indian patronage and the recovery of arms and ammunition during the operation reflect the professionalism and firm resolve of the security forces. He emphasized that operations against terrorist elements backed by India are inevitable for safeguarding national security. The President expressed pride in the sacrifices rendered by the brave armed forces and law enforcement agencies.

Asif Ali Zardari also issued a stern warning to the foreign sponsors of terrorists, stating that Pakistan will not only eliminate their pawns but will also reach those who patronize them.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, praised the security forces' achievements under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision in the fight against terrorism. The Prime Minister emphasized that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces of Pakistan in the war against terrorism. He reaffirmed the government's unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country in all its forms and manifestations.
