Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the attack by Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists on a police check post in Hangu district.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President and Prime Minister expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of DSP Diyar Khan and other police personnel. The President emphasized that the sacrifices of police officers and personnel are a national asset, and those who laid down their lives for the country's peace will always be remembered. He vowed to eliminate the terrorists operating with external backing against Pakistan, along with their facilitators.

The Prime Minister praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for their efforts in eliminating fifteen Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists during the retaliatory operation. He acknowledged the police's role as the frontline force in the fight against terrorism and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms from the country.
