Preparations for the by-election in PP-139 Sheikhupura are in full swing.

This seat became vacant after the death of Rana Afzal Hussain, the elder brother of PML-N Member of Provincial Assembly and Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain.

The by-election will be held on December 5. All candidates are running vigorous election campaigns. A total of 8 candidates are in the race for this constituency.

The Pakistan Muslim League (N) has nominated Rana Tahir Iqbal as their candidate. Mr Iqbal stated that this constituency has always been a stronghold of PML-N, and he is confident that once again on December 5, the people of the constituency will elect the PML-N candidate through their votes.
