PPP says no decision yet regarding Caretaker PM

ISLAMABAD:Federal Ministers Sherry Rehman and Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday rejected rumours of finalizing the name of Ishaq Dar as Caretaker Prime Minister and confirmed that no decision has been taken in this regard. They made rejection while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. Both the ministers categorically stated that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not receive Ishaq Dar’s name as Caretaker Prime Minister from Nawaz League.

Sherry Rehman said yesterday someone was crowned caretaker prime minister by fake news but the reality is that no name was presented to PPP nor her party agreed on any name. She said neutrality is a basic thing for a caretaker government and there will be agreement on some name or the other as the consultation takes time.

She added that a three member’s committee has been formed for consulting the name of the caretaker prime minister. The minister further said PPP wants a level playing field in the election and the national stability is possible only with timely elections. Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday hit out at the ruling partners, stating that the PPP and the PML-N wanted to install a caretaker prime minister who would serve their interests.
