Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has urged political parties to collaborate in strengthening the integrity and effectiveness of Parliament.

Talking to media in here Islamabad on Saturday, he said the process of legislation is moving forward at a rapid pace. He said there is a complete consensus on the constitutional amendment between the PPP and JamiatUlemaeIslamFazl (JUIF).

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that politics requires compromises and wise decisionmaking. He called on the Pakistan TehreekeInsaf (PTI) to behave in a constructive and serious manner to demonstrate that they are a legitimate political party, rather than merely a group of social media conspirators.

Earlier, a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party, led by party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here in Islamabad on Saturday and discussed overall political situation of the country.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday also met with Chief Jamiat UlemaeIslamFazl Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and discussed country’s ongoing political situation.

During the meeting, both the leaders also exchanged views on the proposed 26th Constitutional Amendment. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accompanied by senior PPP leaders including Syed Naveed Qamar, Murtaza Wahab and Jameel Soomro.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman was joined by Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Maulana Asad Mahmood and Kamran Murtaza.
