OKARA:In a unsettling incident in Madinah Town, situated within the jurisdiction of Okara Saddar police, a polio vaccination team fell victim to an assault on Friday.
The attack transpired when one Ahmed subjected the polio team to physical violence merely for knocking on his door. The assault underscores the challenges faced by healthcare workers and underscores the critical importance of their work in eradicating polio.
Swiftly taking notice of the incident, Okara District Police Officer (DPO) Mansoor Aman sprang into action, ordering the immediate registration of a case against the alleged perpetrator. A thorough investigation is now underway, with law enforcement actively pursuing Ahmed alias Ladi, who managed to flee the scene following the assault.
