ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) parliamentary party meeting was held here in Islamabad on Monday with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair.
The meeting appreciated and endorsed the newly elected government’s performance under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Appreciating the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the meeting termed provision of relief to the people affected by the severe inflation during the last four years, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, people friendly steps.
It said the Prime Minister’s decision not to put burden on public at a time of petroleum prices hike in international market and budget deficit is commendable. The meeting strongly condemned the conspiracy of the former government against economy, constitution, judiciary and national institutions. It asked to deal with constitution violators as per the constitution.
The parliamentary party expressed its support to the measures for the legal defense of the constitution, judiciary and national institutions. The meeting demanded from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to take immediate legal action against the former Prime Minister Imran Khan for attacks on national institutions including the constitution and judiciary.
The meeting stated that the former Prime Minister is targeting the judiciary, the Election Commission and national institutions just because they are abiding by the Constitution. The meeting stressed the need to expedite the electoral, economic and administrative reforms in line with the promises made by the coalition government to the people and asked the allied parties to formulate a clear strategy for speedy completion of the goals. The meeting appreciated the steps taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for strengthening the federation and national unity.
