Islamabad:Mohmand Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned a firing incident targeting police personnel who were protecting an anti-polio team in Mohmand district.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister paid tribute to those who embraced martyrdom during the incident. He offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs' ranks and extended his condolences to their bereaved families.

The Prime Minister emphasized that anti-polio workers, along with the police and security personnel safeguarding them, are performing a national duty essential for ensuring a safe future for the nation. He described such terrorist attacks as deplorable and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eradicating all forms of terrorism from the country.
