The government is allocating a substantial 500 billion rupees for youth empowerment, focusing on education and skills development, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Youth Laptop Scheme, the Prime Minister described the funding as an investment in the nation’s destiny, reaffirming his administration”s unwavering commitment to the country”s young population, according to an official report today.

Sharif highlighted that Pakistan is positioning itself at the forefront of technological advancement, noting that it is among a select group of nations formulating policies for Artificial Intelligence.

He further added that the country is venturing into semiconductor manufacturing, which he said indicates a bright technological future.

In a move to bolster these efforts, the Prime Minister revealed an ongoing collaboration with Saudi Arabia to provide specialized training to the youth in AI, information technology, and other modern trades.

This international partnership aims to prepare Pakistan”s young workforce to participate in major global events hosted by the Kingdom, including the 2030 International Exhibition and the FIFA World Cup in 2034, where they are expected to be partners in progress.
