Islamabad:Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil has announced the upcoming launch of the Prime Minister's Health Insurance Scheme for journalists and media workers. The scheme is set to be introduced in an improved and more comprehensive form.

According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement was made during an oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office bearers of the All Pakistan Newspapers and Electronic Media Employees Confederation.

Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil emphasized the significant role journalism plays as a bridge between the government and the people, highlighting the fundamental role media workers have in bringing public issues to light.
