Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed to prepare practical proposals for the development of the mining sector in the country.

He was talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Mines and Minerals Association in Islamabad today (Thursday).

The Prime Minister directed to make full use of the coal in Thar and Lakhra as well as the iron ore discovered at Mianwali and Chiniot.

During the meeting, different proposals were discussed for harnessing high quality coal, iron ore and other precious minerals.

The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to utilize modern technology so that the country’s valuable foreign exchange could be saved by locally producing maximum share of raw materials, which is used in power generation and other industries.
