ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the entire Pakistani team including Inter- Services Intelligence (ISI) and other security officials involved in the evacuation of Pakistanis from Sudan.
In a statement on Friday, the Prime Minister also expressed his satisfaction over the safe arrival of 847 Pakistanis at the port of Sudan. The Prime Minister appreciated Pakistan Air Force and other officials to bring back Pakistanis. He also paid tribute to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Foreign Office, the first batch of 149 Pakistanis evacuated from Sudan- where fighting between the army and paramilitaries has killed and wounded hundreds- arrived in Karachi on Friday.
