Plea to provide relief aid to Rakhshan’s affectees

QUETTA: Mir Mehmood Badini, central spokesperson for Balochistan Bus Transport Federation, has called on authorities to provide relief to the flood affected families of Rakhshan Division of Balochistan province.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that the recent flood wreaked havoc in different areas of Rakhshan Division, including RCD-N-40, London Road and Quetta Taftan Highway.

He added that merely declaring any area as calamity hit area does not serve the purpose rather immediate steps are required to be taken to provide relief to the flood affected souls of the areas, adding that all concerned institutions, including National Highway Authority (NHA), Pakistan, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) should have set up sub offices in the affected areas of Rakhshan Division. He called on authorities to provide relief to the flood affected families of Rakhshan Division.
