LAHORE: Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Tuesday approved in principle a plan for revamp of the emergency block of Mayo Hospital. The Health Department had presented the plan for revamp of Mayo Hospital to the caretaker chief minister in which a 3D plan for revamp of the emergency block of the hospital was also included. The health department had estimated Rs700 million for revamp of the emergency block only.
The chief minister directed to complete the tendering process for the emergency block of Mayo Hospital as soon as possible. He had sought the plan for revamp of Mayo Hospital before Eid. According to the plan, the doctors’ cafeteria and reading room at Mayo Hospital will also be revamped. Punjab CM, Chinese envoy agree to promote mutual cooperation Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren met Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore and held a discussion on increasing cooperation in agriculture, livestock and IT sectors.
During the meeting, the Chinese envoy said that China would cooperate to supply high-quality seeds of cotton and rice in Punjab, adding that the Chinese experts would help in cotton research. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi offered to export meat to China from Punjab. The Chinese envoy assured the Punjab chief minister of support in the issuance of halal meat certification for Punjab.
