Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Information Minister, Pir Muhammad Muzaffar Saeed Shah, met with Pir Syed Saadat Ali Shah, a prominent religious leader and Chairman of the Ulema and Mashaikh Council of Pakistan, to discuss the issue of rising tensions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The leaders also deliberated on ways to promote regional stability and the importance of religious unity.

Minister Shah acknowledged the historical role of Ulema in Pakistan’s movement and their continued efforts for establishing peace in the country. He emphasized the importance of national unity and termed Pakistan a key force for stability in the region. He stressed the need to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and rejected any division within the Muslim community based on language or region.

Chairman Pir Syed Saadat Ali Shah condemned the ongoing oppression in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and appreciated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people. He stated that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, is crucial for regional peace. He praised the resilience of the Kashmiri people despite the hardships and highlighted Kashmir’s legacy of producing individuals who have elevated the region’s global standing. He also clarified that his visit was at the invitation of Minister Shah.

During the meeting, which took place at the minister’s office, both leaders presented each other with commemorative gifts. Chairman Shah invited the Information Minister to attend the annual Khatm-e-Nabuwat Conference at Dargah Chura Sharif, while Minister Shah presented Chairman Shah with a commemorative shield.
