Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) commenced its pre-Hajj flights operation with the departure of PK 743 from Karachi to Madina in the early hours of Saturday.

The flight departure from Jinnah International Airport was marked by the presence of Chief Operating Officer Amanullah Qureshi and other senior PIA officials, who extended their congratulations to the pilgrims embarking on their journey and expressed confidence in a successful Hajj operation.

Chief Operating Officer Amanullah Qureshi expressed gratitude to the pilgrims for choosing PIA for their Hajj travel, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful pilgrimage experience akin to its Umrah operations.

Umar Khan, PIA’s District Manager in Karachi, joined in congratulating the pilgrims and thanked them for selecting PIA for their journey to Saudi Arabia.

According to a PIA spokesman, the airline is set to transport over 34,000 Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. This includes both official and private Hajj schemes, with approximately 170 PIA Hajj flights scheduled from various cities across Pakistan.

The pre-Hajj operation, which commenced with the departure of PK 743, is slated to conclude by June 10. The significant logistical undertaking underscores PIA’s preparedness to ensure a smooth and seamless journey for the pilgrims undertaking this sacred obligation.?
