Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan is ready to work with the global community to promote a more peaceful and inclusive world for everyone.
In his message on ‘World Peace Day’ on Saturday, he said Pakistan strongly believes in fostering peace and stability in the region through dialogue and it is essential to resolve the longstanding disputes to effectively achieve this end.
Shehbaz Sharif said the foundation for any lasting resolution in the region hinges solely on achieving a fair and just settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute peacefully through an impartial plebiscite and relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
He said we must also not overlook the plight of the innocent people of Palestine, who are courageously facing state of aggression.
For lasting peace in the Middle East, the Prime Minister said, a peaceful resolution of the dispute according to the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Palestinians is need of the hour.
