Islamabad: Pakistan's seafood exports crossed the five hundred million dollar mark for the first time during the last financial year, reaching 568 million dollars. According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs reported a significant thirty-eight percent increase in the country's seafood exports over the past two years. Frozen fish remained Pakistan's largest seafood export, generating more than one hundred and five million dollars in revenue. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs highlighted that export standards, food safety, and access to new international markets were instrumental in achieving this milestone. Pakistani seafood is reaching markets in China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the US, and other international destinations.
