Pakistan’s “Blue Economy” has the capacity to inject tens of billions of dollars into the national economy if its potential is effectively harnessed.

This was stated by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf today. The Naval Chief’s remarks came in a message as the Pakistan Navy began hosting the 8th Maritime Security Workshop (MARSEW-8) at the PN War College.

The ten-day event is aimed at sensitizing maritime stakeholders and influential decision-makers to encourage the formulation of suitable national policies.

Bringing together a diverse group of parliamentarians, academics, entrepreneurs, and media professionals, the workshop seeks to enhance strategic understanding of maritime security through inclusive, multi-sectoral dialogue.

In a warm welcome to the attendees, Admiral Ashraf stated that the inclusion of varied participants is pivotal for developing a shared comprehension of Pakistan”s maritime challenges and opportunities.
