Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary, during the Question Hour, stated that strict measures have been taken against human smugglers, and FIA officers found involved in trafficking have been dismissed.
Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Zeb Jaffer briefed the House on developments in the aviation sector. She mentioned that Gwadar International Airport is operating under the open sky policy to enhance international flight operations and improve connectivity. She affirmed that the Civil Aviation Authority is assisting airline operators in launching new flights to and from Gwadar.
She informed that Pakistan International Airlines has recently initiated international flights between Gwadar and Oman. Additionally, refueling facilities for international flights have been made available at Gwadar International Airport.
Discussing infrastructure projects, she stated that the upgradation and expansion of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Airport in Sukkur is in the planning stage. The PC-1 for the project, estimated at forty billion rupees, has been prepared.
