Pakistani Agriculture Graduates Complete Training in China

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the first cohort of roughly 300 Pakistani agricultural graduates for successfully finishing practical training in China.

The program focused on key areas such as water-efficient irrigation, seed development, livestock management, crop cultivation, and minimizing post-harvest waste. In a social media post, the Prime Minister conveyed his appreciation to the Chinese authorities, the Shaanxi provincial administration, and the two participating universities.

He also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistan”s Ministry of National Food Security, the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing. This group forms the initial phase of a larger initiative to train 1,000 Pakistani agricultural specialists, a program announced by Sharif during his trip to China in June 2024.
