The Women’s National Selection Committee has announced a 19-player squad for the upcoming training camp in preparation for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, scheduled from 9 to 19 April at Gaddafi Stadium and LCCA Ground in Lahore.
This camp follows the initial phase in Faisalabad last month, where 33 players participated. Notably, Tuba Hassan will miss the tournament due to a fractured finger, while all-rounder Nida Dar rejoins the team. The camp will run from 21 to 30 March at the Ghani Glass Academy in DHA, Lahore, focusing on net sessions and practice matches.
The Pakistan team will compete against Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies in a round-robin format. The top two teams will secure spots in this year’s ICC Women’s World Cup. Muhammad Wasim, head coach of the national women’s team, will oversee the camp activities, supported by the coaching staff.
