Pakistan has strongly reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to Libya’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and national unity, emphasising a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process as the sole viable path to lasting peace and stability for the North African nation.
This crucial declaration was made by Pakistan”s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad. Ambassador Ahmad delivered the statement during a recent briefing of the UN Security Council concerning the UN Support Mission in Libya.
He underscored the necessity for renewed vigour in the political dialogue, stressing that an indigenous process is paramount for achieving enduring stability in the conflict-affected country.
