During a briefing at the United Nations Security Council focusing on Syria’s political and humanitarian situation, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative-designate to the UN, highlighted the necessity of addressing political, economic, security, and humanitarian issues in a unified manner. Ahmad stressed that the removal of unilateral sanctions is crucial to enhancing reconstruction and aid efforts in Syria.
