Pakistan, Turkiye Forge Stronger Ties with 24 New Agreements

In a significant move to bolster their strategic partnership, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan inked a Joint Declaration at the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High Level Strategic Council. This event marked the exchange of 24 pivotal agreements, MoUs, and protocols.

The signing ceremony took place at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, highlighting a concerted effort to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors. The agreements span diverse areas, including defence, energy, trade, and cultural cooperation, indicating a robust commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

The exchange included four MoUs in the defence sector, marking a notable emphasis on security collaboration. Other key sectors involved were power, energy, mining, trade, industrial cooperation, and scientific education. The agreements also encompassed cultural cooperation, health, and pharmaceuticals, demonstrating comprehensive engagement between the two nations.

Additionally, the Pakistan-Turkiye Business Forum signed two MoUs aimed at enhancing business sector cooperation, reflecting a shared vision for economic growth. The initiative underscores a mutual interest in fostering a dynamic and multifaceted partnership.
